Dolphins Surfing

The light and waves were good for a bit of surfing action recently.

Luckily I had the D7000 with me, unfortunately it had the Tamron fitted and I still only managed to get it to focus on the foreground waves instead of the dolphins

Yes Barb, they continue down the beach surfing each suitable wave. Too fast for me to keep up with.

Just have to be lucky to be at the right pace right time with the right camera

You've probably seen this one from 2011 taken with the Canon G11. I've never seen so many surfing a wave since. There were LOTs of dolphins out this morning, but the waves weren't suitable and they stayed way out from the beach

I like them both Alan. You've got to get that Tammy micro-adjusted or it will drive you crazy!! Mine is set to +8 and I like the results. It's actually a fabulous lens for close up work too.
