  • Mogo Zoo 1

Took the grandkids to Mogo Zoo yesterday. One of the nicest small zoos.

Here's some of the smaller animals. The first four were behind glass. All with the D7000 and Tamron 16-300mm - hand held

#1 Pygmy Marmoset (very tiny - about the size of a small rat)

    #2 Emperor Tamarin

    #3 Meerkats

    #4

    #5 The Lookout

Lovely thing to do - take the kids to the zoo. I hope you did a head count before taking them home! Great photos and it looks like a good carry around lens.
Meerkats. They are fascinating animals, extremely intelligent, very family orientated and I've noticed they are doing a lot of media advertising of late for an insurance comparison company.

Great series there Alan, I like the expression on #4 Meerkat.
        Cheers, Brad.

Nice detailed shots considering you were behind glass.

Thanks Mick - the poodles think they are worth only one thing

The lens is ok - lots of lost photos, but most likely my fault. I can't look at the Meerkats anymore with hearing that ad in my head.

Thanks, they are characters for sure

Thanks Bob, I tried to keep the DOF as narrow as possible and the lens as close as I could get it to the glass.

            Cheers

How gorgeous - a place we thought of visiting but didn't get around to. That Pigmy Marmoset is so cute and who doesn't love a Meerkat. You are certainly getting good results from that lens.
