  • Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas

Hubby and I went up to Port Douglas for our 20th wedding anniversary .. (about 40km north of where we live) and did a sunset cruise on Sailaway catamaran plus visited the Wildlife Habitat. btw the cruises to the Low Isles etc up there are soooo expensive and the sunset cruise was just $60 pp where as the others are close to $200 and then some. We had a great time up there and now back in the land of normality. Port Douglas is a nice place to visit, not posh at all like I expected when we first drove up in the first year of living in Cairns.

edit: .. as my desktop pc was having hissy fits I am now using my laptop with my monitor and haven't found my disc of Lightroom 4 so downloaded a trial of the pay by month LR ... and had to put in my watermark again and looks like with the collage it has included it on each photo lol.

Sorry, didn't realise they images were so big before.
    Here are some more ..
I believe this is the Papuan Frogmouth, and although the Tawny Frogmouth was there, I am going by eye colour on the pamphlet pics as to which one I have lol.

I will be uploading to flickr so rather than clog this thread with my pretty pics, just go check the album there every so often.

Awash with colour! Wish I could get the birds down here to be so co-operative. Very nice Anna.

They're beautiful birds Anna. Well photographed and good story as well - about your anniversary - I've been to PD once and it was great. Pleased that you and hubby had a good time.

Lovely series Anna. #1, the portrait, is very special.

Sounds like your Pt Douglas visit was very enjoyable.

I was thinking of going there - is there a Versace hotel there, or something like that? (No, I just checked - it's on the Gold Coast.) But since you say Pt Douglas is not at all posh, I won't bother going there!

My indecision is final, I think.

Great shots Anna, I particularly like the last. Haven't been to Port Douglas since the 90s, glad you had a good time and enjoyed your time away without the children.
