  • Lightning over Perth

Last night saw a great lightning show over Perth. Took a few shots using BULB mode. Just focused to infinity, ISO 100, f11 - held the shutter open and waited for the flash, then released.
Street lights were a pain but after viewing on the PC, decided they added a bit of interest to the shots as well as the magnolia tree. All hand held as you can see.

Yeh the lightning is pretty cool ... but the hand held bizzo shows with the housing .. Friend down in Port Kennedy got some good shots and just with her phone .. there was a strange ripple effect tot he edge of the cloud in her pics ..

Thanks Anna. My bass player lives in Port Kennedy BUT he is in Sydney AND I sold him a good camera. I'll probably get some boring shots of the bridge when he gets home in 4 days.
