Good photo of it Mick - or sorry should I be referring to you as Sir Lord etc nowadays - not used to mixing in such esteemed classes so not sure . As I don't know enough to identify snakes I treat anything without legs as dangerous and seeing this near me would have got my heart rate up too. Two of my sons do a bit of solo camping in swags and I'm always telling them to check the interior carefully at night.

Rare for me to sleep in a tent as I'm much happier up on my roofrack. But if it's cold enough for a snake to seek warmth under a tent/swag then it's cold enough to make them very slow moving and quite docile. Took a good ten minutes for this fellow to make his way out of my camp and he was reluctant to move at all. No real danger if you keep your wits about you.-----------------------------------------------------
