Like the perspective and the rim lighting of the stem. I have at times thought of getting this low for a similar shot - then think of the effort of getting back up

Might be interesting to cut the stem off short and try that one in the pool?

Gabby, I didn't get too low. I just held the Coolpix below the flower and placed the flower shadow across the lens and hoped for the best.

Good idea and I've never thought of that for this sort of shot. Getting down is not a problem but getting back up presents a problem - oh for the agility of youth.
