Summer Storm...

Apparently we had a Storm on Thurday,I was inside working so I missed it.Some of the damage,we were without power for 23 hours.











These were taken on a 10 minute walk from my place,only a small sample,there were many more trees down.

Doesn't seem to have been a lot of canopy on the trees to help bring them down .... must have been very strong winds to take them out at the roots. 23 hours is a long time for the power to be out. Perhaps a good idea you were inside working Kevin and not outside at the time it struck. We have more storms and 'good' rain predicted for all this coming week.

It certainly did a lot of damage and glad you are safe. I felt really sorry for all those people caught driving home in their cars when it hit, that would have been extremely scary.
