  • And in the beginning...

A Bee stung me in the a.... and that is where it all began.
Not really but I spent a good half hour this morning trying to capture a few shots of these busy Bees, collecting nectar off the flower of a Fan palm outside our kitchen window.
All taken with a 100mm f2.8 Hand held
Couldn't catch one in flight, showing the wings even though I tried at 1/2000 of a sec. The wings were just a blur.

Those wings do move fast. Did you use a flash? I got some in flight recently but did use flash with my macro lens.

No I didn't use a flash but I had the ISO wound up to around 2000 so I could get a fast shutter speed. I will have to try again. The Palm will be in flower for a couple of more days. Thanks for tip.
