These are wild Roo's at John forest national park. The mums were a little cautious on letting me get this close but once i gained her trust she was fine....

Uncomfortable for the mother too I'd imagine - they seem to stay in there until they are fairly large. I saw a wallaby jumping with a fairly large joey in the pouch and I wondered how it felt with that extra weight bouncing with every hop.
