That's a nice photo with plenty of detail, including the little hook at the end of his bill (that's used if his prey is a bit slippery).
They can't flap for long in flight but can soar for 24 hours, covering hundreds of kilometres. They use thermals and can get as high as 1,000 metres and sometimes 3,000. They've been clocked at up to 55 kph. A bit of trivia but they are a fascinating bird. Good for togs too as they a bit slow.I Shoot A Canon
