First time I've ever seen one of these apart from photographs. I always thought they would be much bigger. This one was quite small and I couldn't see any others in the pond. Just the usual ducks and moorhens.

Bit ironic.. I took some Grebe photos for the first time at the Arboretum the other day. Not good enough to post but I seem to be in sync. with you Northerners on some shots! -
