ever had a Rainbow in a Fog?

G'day all

Was doing some foggy morning stuff the other day with the Charters Towers photo workshop people - and turned around to see this ice-rainbow in the fog cloud
The image is a composite - a pano from 8- camera images stitched in Pixtra

Never seen anything like that.
But I guess it makes, sense light on water = rainbow.

We quite often get rainbows in the fog, but I've only ever captured it on video and not a still camera.

Yours is a spectacular example.

-yes-- it was most unusual & a bit hard to put together as it was so wide ~ needed about 110deg coverage from where I was & thus needed to pano it

Very different and well captured. There was a beautiful large clear rainbow here the other day with 1 black cloud in the middle. So driving into town with a rainbow either side I was getting rained on.
