Cute little things that look out of place in such a harsh terrain. I kinda like the shadow from the tuft of grass.

I processed this quite a while ago and the colours look a bit saturated to my eye now. If I can find the original I'll have another crack at it later.

Delicate little things. Without knowing the colour of the rocks/soil it's hard to tell about the sat, but looks ok to me. (I'm not sure about the shadow though)

Another like - what a sweet delicate looking little bird. Almost looks like it's trying to hide (very unsuccessfully) behind that little sprig of grass.

It is hiding behind the weed with it's foot raised - ready to pounce on an unsuspecting little ant! Great story Mick. Colours are OK - it looks late in the arvo.
