Gold among the green

Not quite working for me. Maybe from a different angle would be better. I think I find the foreground leaf the dominant one from this angle rather than the gold which should be the star.

Agree with P Plates,the foreground leaf draws the eye away from the main subject,love the concept though.

Well that's two against one. I disagree of course, but have done a rough edit to see if having the Gold front and centre instead of in between looks any better.

I like the first one .. and my eye is drawn to the yellow one more .. the smaller one as it's a brighter yellow .. and before I even saw the other pic too.

Prefer the gold leaf in the centre but it's just the composition of the original that is doing nothing for me.
