  • Grey Fantail - Rhipidura albiscapa

Went for a wander around a local woodland today and only found a Grey Fantail who was prepared to pose briefly in a sliver of sunlight. That's the cleanest background I could get - but that's where they like to hang out...

I don't have many shots of these guys, so it will have to do.

Beautiful shot. Obviously the better you get the harder you get on yourself - or probably that's how you become so good - I'd think all my Christmases had come at once with a shot like this.

Thanks very much Glad you like it

Serious bird togs would take points off for the steepness of the shot, and the fact that the twig runs across the tail.

I'm just happrry to get it in focus

It's remarkable it sat still long enough for you to click the shutter. We have them here, and they are very used to me, but I still don't have a photo as good as yours
