Managed to gradually get reasonably close to this one - despite being completely in the open and wearing a bright red t shirt at the time. Would have liked to get further around in front of him but there was a huge piece of loose bark blowing in rather strong wind which was occasionally obscuring its head even from this angle.

Looks like he has his eye locked onto you in the second image Gabby.

Bark is a bit bright in places as are the chest feathers and I reckon the exposure could be pegged back a whisker.

Thanks Mick. Did pull the highlights back quite a bit but should have tried darkening some areas. Yes, he was fully aware of my presence but luckily didn't seem to see me as a threat.
