Hop-a-long Godwit

Bar tailed Godwit - Limosa lapponica, Narooma yesterday.
Made walking a bit tricky, but seemed ok otherwise. Wonder how it happened.

Sad when you see things like that as they are usually caused by humans or their rubbish.

Dont know whether they are likely to land on water or wade in the deeper stuff. But gulls suffer from the attentions of barracuta down here, and often lose bits and pieces from attacks down under.

Thanks
I don't think these guys and barracuta would be likely to cross paths?, but I can understand how gulls might be attractive.
Cheers
