She was also feeling the heat and decided to find somewhere cooler.
It's the first time I've seen one perching with so much foliage around.

Lovely image Jess,I`d maybe crop a little off the LHS,Rule Of Thirds and all that.Great detail and the slight blur on the wingtips gives a sense of motion,the reddish brown leaf near her head is annoying,but what can you do.

How do you tell female from male? I tend to call all birds he because I don't know the difference. Except for wrens and similar birds.
