Spent Melbourne Cup day at the Gold Coast on the way home. I took "Yellow" as an omen and backed accordingly - and lost - so it goes - it was a fun afternoon anyway.

I thought I was going to miss the guy in the yellow shirt. I don't think it would have worked as well without him. Luckily I had a railing handy so I used the mini tripod I had with me, just to be on the safe side, as the G11 was on full zoom.
