  • Dreary Morning at Cape Henlopen

Heavy clouds and intermittent fog/mist made for some moody conditions this morning at Cape Henlopen State Park.

    Hi David

Your weather seems to mirror our weather on the east coast ... drizzle & miserable

Your pics show some of the colours available in sunshine - I hope that you can return sometime soon when the sun is shining!

Thanks Phil. Weather has been a bit damp over the past few days but we do have a nice stretch of sunshine in the forecast starting on Wednesday. The color should start picking up a bit as we head into October.

Lovely colours in the images of what you describe as dreary. Lovely textures in #1. Great contrast in the old surroundings and new growth. very good BW treatment of the lighthouse too.

Yes, the colours come through despite the gloom. The mono of the lighthouse works very well too...

Such nice images. Particularly impressed with the colours in the woodlots. A few more and you would have a nice calendar. for next year.

Thanks Hans. Hopefully we start getting some better color as the weeks progress.

    Nice collection David.

My favourite here is #3. The range and spread of foliage colours together with the contracting trunks spread throughout the image work really well. I like the lighthouse treatment too.
