  • A short trip to North Wales (Pic heavy)

Last week my OH was judging at the Flint and Denbigh show in North Wales. For the first time in a long time I took the camera along just in case. Didn't get much opportunity at the show as I got roped in as ring steward, but on the way home we stayed overnight at the Chainbridge hotel on the river Dee near LLangollen. Our room had a nice covered balcony overlooking the river so I managed to take a few pictures. A beautiful spot with just the sound of the river but very few birds or signs of wildlife.

    1) Misty morning - the view over the Chain bridge down the DEE

    And finally

    7) This tree has grown out of the rocks on the side of the canal. It is difficult to imagine how.

All beautiful shots A&B. Very different scenery to here in Oz. I really like #3. Very good POV with really interesting content and excellent framing. Great work and TFS.

Thanks guys. Landscape not normally my thing but quite happy with how these turned out.

Thank you both. It was an area it would be easy to spend a bit more time in and maybe we will go back some other time when we are not time limited.

I hope you get back there because the shots above are excellent. It's great to see other parts of the world which are a lot different to what we see in Australia. It's great to have our international members showing a variety of scenic views. Cheers.

The station in no 5 was directly opposite our balcony. Less than 10 minutes after we left the balcony and checked out this arrived, so a quick grab shot from the bridge.

Thanks Isac but I can't help thinking 10 minutes earlier and I would have got the engine coming into the station not pulling up past it

It was meant to be A&B. Lucky to get a shot anyway.
