Last week my OH was judging at the Flint and Denbigh show in North Wales. For the first time in a long time I took the camera along just in case. Didn't get much opportunity at the show as I got roped in as ring steward, but on the way home we stayed overnight at the Chainbridge hotel on the river Dee near LLangollen. Our room had a nice covered balcony overlooking the river so I managed to take a few pictures. A beautiful spot with just the sound of the river but very few birds or signs of wildlife.
1) Misty morning - the view over the Chain bridge down the DEE
2) View from the bridge after the sun came up
3) View up the Dee from Chain bridge
4) The Chainbridge
5) Berwyn Station on the LLangollen heritage railway
6) Horse shoe falls about 1/2 mile from the hotel along the canal.
And finally
7) This tree has grown out of the rocks on the side of the canal. It is difficult to imagine how.
