Not been out with the camera much lately but couldn't resist trying to capture the Northern Lights over Rutland water last Friday.

Not the best location but the area was packed.

Thanks David. Cloud is usually what we get. I had been out about an hour before and seen nothing but luckily decided to go back

Lucky you A&B. Not that good here in the west. I'm sure it was amazing to see. Colours are out of this world - literally!

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac, luck was definitely with me. Seems odd that we have made a number of trips to Iceland and Lapland in search of the Northern lights and seen not much and then we get this on the doorstep. I got home after about an hour or so to be greeted by my wife who had sat in the garden and watched the whole thing.
