The thing I love about Vietnam is how every person you talk to who is over about 10 years old will proudly tell you how they fought in the liberation war against the US. They are a lovely people and rightly proud of being able to liberate themselves but they hold no grudges whatsover for the atrocities the US inflicted upon them.

I have been at least 4 times and the first time I went I asked why I didn't notice any resentment for having been at war with them. The answer I was given was that 70% of the population wasn't even alive then. I can not recall anyone ever mentioning the war other than that. It is very interesting to see it from the other side when you spend some time in the museum.

Again, beautiful photos Hans. So much colour to brighten the day.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Another interesting and colourful set Hans. My favourite is #8 with the contrasting colours of the spices, although it might be improved by removing the stray legs and arms.

Interesting set of photos. I like the finger tipped hand, is that typical of their dancing?

Can't answer you that but I suspect it is some form of religious symbolism. Must admit my my interest in religion is less than 0
