  • Just an old tree stump

    G'day all

No doubt one of many, but this stump was sitting alongside our campsite and via the late afternoon sun + shadows it caught my eye

    exif- Panny FZ-300; 1/250s x F6,3; ISO-100; lens at 2x zoom / 65mm FFequiv

    As always, feedback welcome

Well spotted Phil. It's sometimes the simplest things that catch our eye. Lovely textures in this one. I use the shadows of trees to measure their height - very simple method.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

I think the shadow jutting off to the side really enhances the overall image and helps add some depth. Nice shot.
