    G'day all

We've been here before some years ago and there's not much here beyond a truck stop and one or two buildings .... and the phone box !

Well the phone box really adds another dimension to that glorious sunset Phil. Lovely light in all of these.

Yes and it makes you think of how many people would have found it a welcome find in such a remote location. Sure adds to the story in the image.

Nice shots Phil. Really like those last two.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

      Thanks fellas

I am finding that many of these outer-west Qld towns now have "some Telstra" coverage whereas a decade ago there was nothing
I presume it's part of the Scomo (for o'seas readers ... federal gov't of recent yrs) grant of $m44 to Telstra to reduce black-spots in mobile fone coverage
The Telstra rig is shown below, and had a coverage of about 5km diameter around the dot-on-the-map. The Rest Area took 8 or 10 vehicles (but only 3 when we were there + the toilet block.

Truckies came and went - using the hard-standing area alongside the road, most trucks were B-Triples tho there was a B-Quad there as well
      (for o'seas people, a B-Quad is a prime mover + 4 trailers making something like 72 tyres @ 53m / 170 feet bumper to bumper)
