Well spotted Phil.

A bit of an anachronism but perhaps they mean orders to be mailed or delivered to remote properties - though not the perishable items listed above it, I hope. There could be people who refuse to use the new-fangled telephone or email, or perhaps for people without internet access

G'day fellas

Each of you is correct in your observations - it's the sort of country where the weekly shop is 'regular' and I can easily see outlying farmers emailing in their orders
Whether they can place fe/male orders I didn't ask !!
