  • A hike in the mountains in Seoul

A few more older images from Korea.

These are from a hike in the mountains in Seoul during November. Quite cold and we had to watch for ice on the track.

    4. Ice beside the track. There were a few patches of slippery ice on the track itself.

Beautiful shots. Really like the light and colors in the first one.

Thanks Phil. It was about -1 when we started the hike and can go down to -20 or below in winter, but this was only November.

Beautiful photos Alan. Colours in all are great but #1 stands out. #4 is a gem with good clarity and contrast. 1/40th was a good speed to get the water look and you got a good background to shoe off the hanging ice.

Thanks Isac. I'd only given #1 a very basic process and crop, and only now came across it and reprocessed it to bring out the light and colour. With #4 it was a matter of balancing shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Today I wouldn't hesitate to go higher on the ISO if required.

You did well with all of them Alan. I can always live with a higher ISO nowadays with much better sensors that can handle it.
