  • I was curious

    We had low cloud here today and I wondered what IR would do with it. Unfortunately by the time I thought about it the cloud was lifting.

    As imported into LR


    after a 30 sec edit in SEP3


    It looks like IR cuts through a lot of the cloud so more experimentation will be required.

    BTW the bird is a Rosella. A common or garden one not an Eastern one.

    The I.R. certainly cuts through the fog.

      Looks good. Excellent texture in the bark and the leaves make a nice contrast.

      Is the low contrast in the original usual for IR or is this due to the cloud. Boosting contrast tends to destroy the effect of mist and cloud.

        Beautiful shot. Really like the look of IR. May need to look into that someday.
        Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

          I hummed and handed for several years before I took an old camera body in to be converted. Should have done it years ago.
