Good to see a bird shot Hans. Could be a Nankeen Kestrel.

nice light in #2, not so sure about the subject.

the last two are excellent landscapes. Beautiful light on the grass in the last.

The neighbour is about a km away he likes getting a picture now and then. We get some lovely sunsets. It was the lighting that got my attention.

Great to look out at that scene Hans. Well captured. #2 (to me) is a perfect example for a bracketed shot (3 or 5), to have some definition in those distant hills.

Matter of concept I suppose since those hills are about 10km away I like the fact that that show that way. Wouldn't look right otherways.

It was only my own thoughts mate so take it with a grain of salt.

Decided to go and do the 3 shot bracket but the ones + and- looked pretty ordinairy. I think luminosity masking would do a better job if you wanted to reduce the effect of the haze. Wouldn't help the focus tough a lot of atmospheric distortion.

How did you blend the 3 exposures?

I didn't, it's the default exposure. But the light is from a different direction.

The bracketed shots should all be taken at once in the same light. WeTransfer them and I'll have a look

Thanks MJ had no idea what it was I would have called it a chicken hawk. It is a popular dead tree for a bird rest though. Mostly parrots and crows.

That's a ripper Hans. Good drama in those clouds. You could even add some more drama in PS.

OK then....

#1 Just added drama to the clouds and lifted the colours in the foreground. I used Dark and Light luminosity masks with Curves adjustments.


#2 ... On top of that, I added my Sunset action group (40% Opacity), then added a Solid Color fill layer (#ffd800) at 40% Opacity.

I like #1 but think #2 has gone a bit too far. I will update when I'm no longer interested in working on the 100 yr old postcard.
