+1 on a great shot. We only get to Wales for horse related events so, other than the Wye valley, rarely get to see any of the other beautiful places you have.

My other thoughts are to the building of this place - whenever that was - ....... where did all the stone come from? and how did they mortar it in place so well?
Hi Phil, Dryslwyn Castle was built in 1220 or so. Stone probably came from the large natural mound where the castle was built. As for mortar, that has been around for centuries, Romans and before. We are so fortunate in having these historical buildings still standing, and to be able to have access to witness and photo. Attached is the Wikipedia page info...
I doubt our house we built in 2004 will still be standing in 800+ years. For smart humans we haven't learned much about building houses that last like those folks back then. They built for necessity back then, not for the "look" which is the norm in our modern world.
