Somewhere nearby there is an artillery range which, as you can see, didn't seem to bother the animals at all.

Home turf for me, well 30 miles away. Nice photo, that Artillery range is near Sennybridge, some 5 to 6 miles away...

Must be snow on those mountains now...brrr

Thanks Mark, Someone said they were training the Ukrainian army on that range and yes I bet it's pretty chilly up there now.

    G'day fellas

Dunno about the area, but from the looks of it maybe it needs to be renamed "the Nullabor Hills" .... not a single tree or shrub to be seen !
kelvin - I wonder how it would look if polarised (next time maybe) to see how the foliage / grasses / sky would change tones?

Hi Phil, Had to look up Nullabor (sounds like something out of Lord of the Rings). The whole area was pretty barren and lots of narrow switchback type tracks.
Never tried Polarised images. It's difficult enought to get something half decent

    Beautiful scenery.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

I really like the strong but simple shapes and colours here. Well seen and well photographed.

Nice Kelvin. Lovely detail and great light washing over the area. Nothing like what I see here, has a minimalist feel to it, well done.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

It looks as if there is some bad weather there. Like the image. It has an outer world feel to it.

Thank you everyone. I can't claim too much credit, I was just trying to see what sort of result I could get with the 150-600 from a distance. It was a pretty dull day with just occasional glimpses of sunlight.Since replying to Phil's suggestion of a polarised image I have remembered that I do have a circular polariser filter, but as I rarely go out looking for landscapes it's never in my bag. Maybe I will have to put it in in case the opportunity rises again
