it probably is as they appear close to the coast and in a little group and rather lifeless.

Looks like a bit of nasty weather there Hans. I like the mood you captured, lovely colours. The rigs look close to the shore. Any story behind the shots?

I like the way the platforms fade into the distance increasing he perception of depth, and the dramatic light. I would be inclined to crop the clear sky and bright cloud from the top of the second shot to give a more ominous feel.

Yes that would work Alan. It was the changeing sky which attracted me to the scene in the first place. I have another shot I havn't been able to satisfy myself with yet.

Excellent work. The fog adds some really nice depth.

        G'day Hans

Pics are beaut - what's the story to go with them?
ie- were you on a ferry zig-zagging between them? or on a service vessel going about its business, but in and out of them? or what??
See ...... you've got us real curious now!

Passed a number of them whilst on a cruise ship that went to Norway and Iceland

nice series. I prefer the last of these as presented, but feel the first has lots of promise also.
the moodyness of the shot is good but the bright sky sort of overpowers the shot in my eyes.
wondering whether the addition of a gradient to the shot mignt tone that down and milk some details in those areas?
        good work
