Fall Foliage at Blair's Pond.

Had a little time this evening to try to get some more of the Autumn colors. Quick 10 minute drive outside of town presents a couple of nice ponds to photograph. Chose this one, Blair's Pond, as the wooded area that surrounds it usually has some nice colors this time of year. Would have preferred some sunlight but the clouds where not going away so I made do with the conditions I had. I am happy with what I got.

Beautiful colours with lovely soft light, and the reflections work well. I think the lack of sun has worked in your favour. I like the depth of the foreground/background separation in #1. and this has prompted me to ask if you have tried for any wider shots composed with foreground/mid-ground/background features providing depth.

I tried going for some wider shots but the sky was bland and featureless so I generally preferred the more zoomed in shots. The foreground wasn't too interesting as it was mostly short grass going into the water or the boat launch ramp I was standing near.

Excellent colours in these ones David. I like the lot of them, great scenery. Perfect for jigsaws.

#4 Was my pick as well it seems to have a little more drama. Like the colour in all of them though. . The season well recorded.
