  • Seascape in lat afternoon light

Went out for the sunset which turned out rather ordinary but the late afternoon sun was interesting

    G'day Alan

You say "the late afternoon sun was interesting" but I find the light in #1 to be superb, even slightly magical to the eye
The small patch of direct sun onto the sand, the footprints etc in that sand, then the tree and the heavy shadow above and to the right of the scene
Maybe you could sell it to the jigsaw makers ... or just have it as a poster on the lounge room wall !

Thanks Phil, I was indulging in a bit of understatement there. I'm extremely happy with #1.

Like #1 too. The jetty leads the eye into the scene. Also interesting is the spot lighting of fallen dead tree in the foreground. All put together they make it a lovely shot.

Beautiful images Alan. I won't mention the horizon in #1, it could be my chair has a lean on it.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. I don't think it's your chair, more likely your screen or desk is tilted.

Not sure why I missed that - just my old eyes I guess.

      It's my screen - it's on a slope
I know what you mean about the old eyes mate.
