    G'day all

At the moment we in Oz are having very vibrant sunrises and sunsets resulting from the airborne dust from the Tongan earthquake earlier this year. It shows itself in very strong colours in the half-hour before sunrise and after sunset. I am using these colours for landscape imagery. Here's two showing the comparison

    1) traditional landscape, late afternoon, about 60 minutes before actual sunset

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 1/400s x F8,0; ISO-200; lens at 4x zoom / 85mm FFequiv

2)- the deeply coloured landscape, now illuminated only by the glow in the sky, 30 minutes after actual sunset

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 2,5s x F8,0; ISO-200; lens at 4x zoom / 85mm FFequiv

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

Excellent work Phil. I like the colour in #1 and the way the low sun brings out the texture in the landscape, but #2 is just extraordinary. Have you enhanced the colour at all.

Great comparison of how things can change within a couple of hours. Stunning colour change.
