#2 for me Alan. Beautiful sky and reflections in those great patterns on the sand. #1 (to me) shows too much of a blue colour cast but still a lovely scene.

Thanks Isac. The blue cast ifs from the well-before sunrise time and matched my memory of the scene. It is very blue though so I will revisit it.

    G'day Alan

Hmmmm - each has its place, #2 shows lovely sands while #1 shows milky waters

Nice try Phil but it's all wrong. It was taken about half an hour before sunrise on an overcast morning. I've posted an updated version below.

I have to agree with Alan on this one Phil. You've added a green hue to those lovely blues. What version of PSE are you using?

Here is an version with an updated colour balance. If I set the colour balance so the surf is white, the temp balance goes to 43,000 where daylight is 5500.

It was taken a half hour before sunrise on an overcast morning so it is going to be blue. This is what I've come up with after a bit of playing around.

Not quite what I had in mind gents. I think it needs a true colour correction which would not change the beautiful blues in the sky and water, but just grade the blue colour out of the foreground rocks and the landing. When I did the grading, the colours in those rocks really came to life without changing anything else. I use a couple of colour correction methods but for this one I chose a very easy curves adjustment combined with a selective hue/saturation adjustment.
