  • The dawn glow before sunrise

    G'day all

Long before the sun pokes its face above the horizon, the sky transitions through various glows tones, and brightness levels. This image was captured about 20 minutes before sunrise

    As always, feedback welcome

Beautiful silhouette Phil. That sky is very red indeed. I used to love the early morning effects like this but early mornings are not my thing any more - might be age related?

G'day mate ... yes 'age related' is a beaut descriptor coz we like bed long before seeing the dawn arrive!
However in my case at the moment, it's because it's middle of winter and sunrise is "so late" in the morning and therefore I can see it happen!

My live hours are between 8am and 11:30pm, so anything happening outside of those hours, I am completely oblivious to.

Very well done Phil, with just enough of the foreground silhouette to make a nicely balanced image.

I think we get beautiful reds in our sky both at nightfall and sunrise. Have only been enjoying the sunsets. I suffer from the same thing as Isac.

This reminds me of a shot I got when I was out at Perry Sandhills which is just outside of Wentworth, NSW the Southwest Wentworth and not the other one.
So as soon as I seen it I liked it.The one I got we got it printed up , so good job once again Phil.
