  • A couple of landscapes from Blackdown Tableland.

I haven't been able to get out this week so here are a couple from the archives.

Blackdown Tableland National Park is near Blackwater west of Rockhampton in Qld.

    1. Gudda Gumoo gorge
    Nikon D800, Nikkor 16-35 f/4 @ 16mm. HDR from 3 images.
A fairly short 4km walk but 240 steps down to the pool

    2. A clear pool on Mimosa Creek.
    Nikon D800, Nikkor 16-35 f/4 @ 19mm. 1/2 sec f/11 ISO 100
Just before sunrise and a short walk from the camping area.

Colours are amazing Alan. HDR has it's place. Did you use a polarising filter on #2? The bottom looks very sharp and clear.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. I think I would have used a polariser on both. The water was very clear

I have a CPL for my 72mm lenses and it's brilliant.

    Hi ALan

I like 'em both with a preference for #1 - a beaut, relaxing image

Is that a typo or do you own a D900?
