I took a drive to Cadillac Canyon this arvo hoping to get some nice long exposures during sunset. The weather was just too wild to get into the canyon so I hung around on the rocks and sand hoping to get some good shots.

All shots taken with the R6 and RF24-240 lens.

#1 Waves crashing and thunder clouds rolling in.

It started bucketing down not long after this shot so I packed up and sat in the car for a while hoping it would pass but the weather wasn't going to let up so I headed home.

Great shots of very wild conditions, GJ. TFS.

Rough as guts I reckon. Lovely action of stormy weather. We're getting a bit of stormy weather here too, but I'm indoors watching the footy and having a pie for lunch. Is that what Melbourne are having today?

I hope the pies win. It would help Carlton in the finals. If the Pies learned to kick straight they'd be on top!

It's painful to watch. Bad kicking is bad footy as my F.I.L. was keen to say.

Kicking skills have lowered over the years. They seem to drop the ball a metre from their boot and hope like hell that they connect. When I played you just about kicked it out of your hand and it was a lot more accurate.

We are getting a fair bit of that sort of weather. It will be interesting to see at what focal legth you will take a lot of your images. I had someone show me years ago how to get that data from exif and was surprised I averaged close to your standard 50. I wish I could remember how it was done. May have to call that another project.

It does look rough John, and the slow shutter in #2 gives an interesting effect.

Thanks Alan, I'm always a tad nervous using my camera with all the salt water spray being blown around by the wind. Always give the camera and lens/es a good clean when I get home.
