Vertical panorama with 12 horizontal images just for something different. Maybe use it as a bookmark?

Certainly different Isac.By horizontal do you mean the camera was horizontal (as in landscape orientation). I'm not sure what else you could do with the tree apart from a bookmark.

Thanks Alan. vertical images are often used in graphic design work when creating book covers, advertising, posters and flyers I have seen some brilliant vertical panoramas of tall buildings, trees, waterfalls, statues etc used in this type of work. They are different and not for everyone I guess. I did a few for a company that used them for bookmarks during a promotion. Flowers, trees and buildings. So they do have their purpose.

So that I don't confuse myself, I like to state the camera orientation with the number of shots that I stitch to make the panorama - be it a vertical panorama or a horizontal panorama. I name my panoramas using the filename and add 4xH or 3xV (which shows me how many images and the camera orientation).

I personally think the terms "Portrait" and "Landscape" should only be used to describe the contents of an image and not the orientation. To me, Portrait and Landscape should never be used to describe orientation. I know a lot use P or L and things won't change. People call print orientation Portrait and/or Landscape which should be vertical or horizontal. It gets a bit confusing when you take a portrait shot of a person in horizontal orientation OR take a photo of a seascape in a vertical orientation. Just sayin' ...

I've edited the description to read "Vertical panorama with 12 horizontal images".
