  • Rainy morning seascape

Between the weather and other commitments I haven't been able to get out with the camera for a while, so I've revisited some old images. These are from Bay of Fires in Tasmania in 2010.

Very nice scenes Alan. I like for different reasons: #1 - those blues are stunning. #2 - Nice blend. You say manually masked, do you use luminosity masks? they're very accurate when blending.
I'd love you to try my action set, which creates a whole set of luminosity masks: 5 x Lights, 5 x Darks, 5 x Midtones, 2 x Light Midtones and 2 x Dark Midtones. To make it easier, I also include a preset brush set to Round, Zero Hardness, 20% Opacity and 20% Flow. HERE

Thanks Isac. Image #2 was a simple merge of sky from one image with foreground from the other followed by a few local brightness and contrast adjustments. Just simple select and fill followed by a bit of painting on the mask. I have used your actions in the past and they do make mask creation simple.

Thanks for that Alan, the latest version of the set has some extras to play with.
