Some ugly windmills not far from some beautiful coal mines.

Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

Love the txt - and the pics are beaut too !
Being a long-lens chappie and pano lover, #2 comes up nicely

I like both Hans but, like Phil, prefer the second. I like the dramatic mood with the dark clouds, sun rays, dark hills and perspective. The repeated horizontal lines of the hills, clouds and the bright line at the top work well with the pano format. The windmills have an eerie, menacing look.

I like the foreground colour and the contrast in the clouds in the first but I think the bright part of the sky detracts a bit.

Thanks fellows. Only sorry I didn't have my camera with me I think No1 would have had more dynamic range in it. I too find the simplicity of #2 with the repetition an attrctive shot worthy of my yearbook The pictures were taken two minutes apart by the way on a Samsung Phone.

#1 for the scale and #2 for the effect. Well done. I think they are called Wind Turbines, these are windmills ....

Nice pic but you would think it wasnt the best position for a wind driven pump, in amongst all those trees.
