      Thx mate - yep the colours were changing as the sun disappeared - this slightly-brighter flash only lasted a minute or so before fading

      It's a great shot Phil and a wall hanger fore sure. Being me I would have thrown in a few more birds

    Beautiful shot Phil. Excellent colour, foreground interest with the silhouettes of the people at left, the line between the smooth water and ripples provides a lead-in, the rays from the sun, and the birds provide a finishing touch.

      Thanks Alan .... and I think that the birds make the image a keeper, as there are plenty of other pics of cloudy last rays
