and a 6 shot vertical pano of the supports of the Dee Road slip bridge. You can see where they supported the aqueduct from the bridge on the inside of the roadway.

A beaut collection of images - I like the mono treatments plus the vertical pano is great
With the water shot ... does this mean the aqueduct is still in use? - and what for? - or is it something else using the water?

The aqueduct runs along the side of what Australians call mountains (large hills in most of the world). Similar terrain to the second shot of the other side of the valley. Streams come down the valleys on the side of the hill and were piped underneath the aqueduct. Depending on how steep the valley containing the stream was some like the one pictured had small weirs built after they crossed under the aqueduct I assume to allow flow to be controlled. The streams heading down the hill all ultimately exit into the Yarra River which runs in the floor of the valley.
