Well done Gavin. Susch vibrant colours and fantastic landscape you've captured. I interested as to why they are all cropped to a square format?

Wonderful colours and interesting locations Gavin. I’m also wondering about the square format. Uluṟu looks a bit compressed horizontally and I’m wondering if the image was squeezed to square rather than cropped. It might just be a view from a different angle.

Thank you for your comment Wigz. Isac made the same comment. When I tried to upload the photos they were obviously to large and a pop up appeared that said they need to be resized to 4608x4608 and I'm guessing that is in pixels, so I resized them and this is how they turned out. Is there an alternative way that still captures the landscape format as opposed to the square format.

          Editing a comment
Hi Gavin. A few questions before I can assist with file sizes and posting them to the forum.
          1. What editing software do you use.
          2. Are you uploading them from your computer?
          3. What computer are you using, Mac or Windows PC?
When you show this info I can assist further.
          Cheers, Greg

Hi Greg, I am using Photoshop Elements 2020; I am uploading the photos from my computer and I use a Windows PC. Hope this information helps.
        Cheers

Great thanks Gavin. In Elements, use the "Save for Web" method at: FILE > SAVE FOR WEB (Ctrl + Shift + Alt + S). In the dialog box, select JPEG (Hi Quality). at the botom, enter the width at 1200 and the height will resize with it automatically. Then up the top, adjust the Quality so that the details under under the image show KB under 300. Then save.
Next you need to upload into your new thread. HERE is the best and easiest way to do that, (Drag & Drop) which is on the top menu of the forum. See "Uploading Images".

I see you look like you went into the same rabbit hole I did. I have no excuse as I've been here for years. Looking forward to seeing lots more of yor photographs. I am also wondering if the breakaways are once more being lapped with water. I am also having problems with the drag and drop as I don't know how to do that without it being in the same window. I am sure all will be revealed!

I have done a new tutorial with pictures for those wishing to use the Drag & Drop method for posting images HERE.
It's also available from the top menu "Uploading Images"
