The Horn lookout. Mt Buffalo Victoria

    G'day mate

Wonderful blues and the sweeping vista reminds me of events that otherwise should remain untold

However ... back in late May '83 in my Hi-Ace camper, my girlfriend and I stayed overnight at this lookout, ignoring the 'no camping' signs all along the road to the lookout. The sky looked as above, but with heavy clouds on the horizon. Woken next morning to intense cold, we drove away and brunched in Mansfield where it was a tad warmer. The following morning, the radio news mentioned that "eight inches of snow had fallen at Mt Buffalo .... " and we started to listen to the news & weather reports a bit more often after that

Back in the ‘80s we used to ski there from Cresta in winter. I believe that there is not consistent snow for skiing in that area any longer. When the f***ed up during the 2009 bushfires and the Cresta ski building burnt down they shut the field down and all the chair lift infrastructure just sits there rusting away now.

Good colour and well composed with the shelter/tables, bike and dead tree.

Thanks. Can't claim credit for the colour, It is a Kodak Ektar 100 simulation shot in jpeg. I don't think I did an pp on this one at all.
