  • Reids Tramline walk

Reids tramline was used into the early 20th century to transport cut lumber from its source to Powelltown for final milling, It is a now a pleasant 3km or so walk to the site of the original sawmill.

All that remains on the original sawmill site

Looks very dense now humans aren't stuffing it up. There are similar places in our southwest where they used to harvest Jarrah trees, but have now put in place a program which will stop logging of our forests by 2024. They will put in softwood estates to save the industry and jobs.
