  • Macquarie Marshes

    G'day all

The Macquarie Marshes - a large swampy area south-west of Walgett, northern NSW and (allegedly) home to many birds ... but with an over abundance of flood waters, not many were to be seen

    As always, feedback welcome

Love the colours in this one Phil - nice and vibrant. Shame about the birds being away.

Same at Kakadu if / when you get up there for a visit
Dry season > small water pools > plenty of wildlife .. vs .. Wet season > water everywhere > nuthin' to see

Looks like it would be a great place to visit in drier times. It's the same here - the water birds spread out after rain.

Lovely spot you captured. Birthplace of lots of wildlife. More water on its way.
