It was interesting to note the consternation of the other wildlife. They sure were aware of the pride of lions while our presense barely registered.

Lovely captures Hans! Probably the best time to come across a pride of lions. Full of food and couldn't run to save themselves - a very familiar feeling.

I don't think I would like to be something they took exeption to, full bellies or not.

This last image is a real stunner- if you scroll down to remove top half of sky, the setting sun + tree + animals looking towards left becomes a magic 2,5-1 pano worthy of display anywhere

Bit of a shame, I saw the photo but the image foreground is very dark and a lot of detail is lost in the impalas. The pano does look good. I have to work out how to quickly alter the settings to take three shots with an under and over exposure. I have set this a couple of times before but it takes the alcohol soaked brain a bit of effort to remember.

I have a custom function set for bracketing 2 stops apart. Saves having to remember all the steps to set it up - it's now just 1 selection. Easy!

Yes that's what I did. But it's too long in between performing this action and it is set to cancell when you turn the camera off.

Would obviously look better in one of Isacs frames.

All good shots but that sunset is stunning. I agree with Phil re the crop, and if you can lift the foreground a little then even better. The two 8x12 prints work, but I like the single pano ideal.

I do spend way to much time sitting in front of a computer. But it's by choice so I can't complain.

My choice too mate - keeps me off the streets.

Try this Hans. Set it up to a Custom Shooting Mode (C1, C2 or C3) then it's always available.

I have the cheapie 7Dii and I can go to C1 any time and fire off bracketed shots (I've set mine to 5 for more range). If I set bracketing on Av or MAnual it does one set then reverts back to single shot, but I've got that setup in the settings. I can cancel that to have it bracket - until I power off OR change shooting modes. Must be similar on EOS-R.

Took a AEB picture of the mist this morning all fine will now adjust the amount of bracketing and see if it remembers that.

Thanks John I am just revisiting raw files that I don't think were ever converted to JPG There are lots of them so I'll be a while. Thinking of a 100-500 lens before the next safari. I see some nice shots taken with it. Would match nicely with the 24-105.

It's a good combo Hans, I have also have a 24-105 and, of course, the 150-600. I have a 70-200 that I haven't used for ages.
